Damas Island Kayaking Tour drives for 20 minutes where your guide will explain some of the scenery highlights. This Manuel Antonio tour allows you to explore the wonders of the mangrove ecosystem. Make sure you keep your eyes peeled so you can spot the innumerable aviary species, snakes, anteaters and white faced monkeys. While you silently observe this rich habitat your guide will offer explanations about the nature specimens found in this unique region.
White Water Rafting Savegre River tour provides the transport that will pick you up from your hotel and drive 1 hour and 20 minutes to the Savegre River put in. The road trip to the rafting site offers picturesque views of African palm plantations, little towns, small rivers and jungle vegetation. Your guide will gladly tell you all about the thing you see along the way.
Occasional stops with be made for bathroom breaks or to take photographs. Upon arriving at the put in you will receive a safety talk and an opportunity to practice before getting into the river. The rafts in this Manuel Antonio tour are built for 6 passengers and guides will travel in kayaks alongside you to ensure your safety. Savegre River boasts class 3 rapids and is filled with bends and turns of excitement. You will spend approximately 2 ½ hours in the raft taming the rapids, taking occasional pit stops to rest and admire some of the region’s beautiful flora and fauna.
Towards the end of this Manuel Antonio tour, the river waters become calm and easy, allowing you to take a closer look at birds flying overhead and colorful vegetation adorning the shoreline. Your drive back to base camp will be much shorter. You will arrive in about 30 minutes where you can change your clothes and savor a delicious homemade meal.
Experience the true meaning of ‘Pura Vida’ this guided trip takes you to the rainforest in the hills above the Pacific Ocean. After a short drive from Jaco beach you will arrive at our base camp. After fueling up with an authentic Costa Rican meal let’s hop in our 4×4 safari vehicles and drive up the mountain over 1000′ to get to our private reserve. Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna and the incredible views of the ocean and Manuel Antonio. Native birds and animals are around. During the next 2 to 2.5 hours you will enjoy: Hiking about 20 to 30 minutes on eco trails, riverbeds and bridges across the river. View our large waterfall 85 meters. See up to 10 smaller waterfalls, spotting animals and birds. Option to swim in 4 different natural pools. Cliff jumping as high as 9/meters 30’. Canyoning or Canyoneering is an exciting multi-sport adventure. We have combined Ziplining, Waterfall Rappelling, and Hiking along with optional Swimming and Cliff Jumping. Just 20 minutes from Jaco we will arrive at our basecamp to start your adventure. After fueling up with an authentic Costa Rican meal let’s hop in our 4×4 safari vehicles and drive up the mountain over 1000‘ to get to our private reserve. Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna and the incredible views of the ocean and countryside. Once on top you will be outfitted with the latest and safest gear from Black Diamond in the USA. You will be instructed on the safe and proper use of our equipment then begin your 5 minute hike to the first zipline. After 2 “zips” over the river we will do a dry training rappel to familiarize you with the proper technique. Later some swimming and cliff jumping (4-25‘) opportunities if you desire! Now it is time to feel the waterfall on your face! 4 rappels through the waterfall and you will do it all on your own. Nevertheless, at all times you will be “safe and backed up” by your guides! After a short climb up we will exit the canyon and hike 15-20 minutes back to the truck.
Our catamaran day tour is a great 4.5 hour catamaran tour with a visit at Playa Fantasia for a fresh BBQ lunch prepared by our chef on the beach. Guests enjoy a 40 minute cruise to Playa Fantasia. We drop anchor and guests can jump from the roof or float in the tranquil waters. We head into the beach where clients have access to an open bar, beach lounge chairs, hammocks, paddle boards, surf board, snorkel gear and boogie boards. After lunch and some fun in the sun we head back to port searching for whales, dolphins and mantas.
