If you are looking for the ultimate Manuel Antonio Rainforest Hike, one that combines nature, amazing views and local wildlife with adrenaline, sport and secluded places, this trip is for you. We designed this tour in order to avoid the crowds that sometimes visit the regular Manuel Antonio National Park. (4 hours)Season All year.
The Tour is classification III & IV and last from 3 to 4 hours.
Combine adventure, adrenaline and breathtaking scenery. Only 30 minutes away into the mountains from the Manuel Antonio / Quepos area, the Naranjo River offers an exhilarating, exploding section of white water.
Experience III class rapids on the cleanest river in Costa Rica, a combination of calm paddling and some white-water thrills. The 80-minute road trip to the rafting site offers picturesque views of African palm plantations, little towns, small rivers and jungle.
After safety instructions and time to practice you are ready to board the 6-passenger rafts. Each raft has a guide who will provide instructions during journey, and for additional safety, a kayaker will accompany the group close by. Savegre River offers II and III class rapids, its bends and turns offering adrenaline and excitement.
During your 2 ½ hour trip you will also have opportunities to admire exuberant flora and abundant fauna around you, floating down and even hopping off your rafting to swim in calmer waters. Once back at base camp after a shorter 30-minute ride, you’ll be able to dry off, change into fresh clothes and enjoy a delicious meal.
Explore the Costa Rican mangrove ecosystem on a comfortable boat gliding along the water while birdwatching and admiring the verdant flora of the area.
Wind through this natural sanctuary made up of canals and natural tunnels comfortably and safely.
Your experienced guide will spot flora and fauna along the way, pointing out species such as reptiles, anteaters, and monkeys.

We start in Maracas, the south side of Quepos Port and begin paddling into the disappearing light of day. From a vantage point only possible in kayaks, we will experience Manuel Antonio’s breathtaking cliffs and beautiful rock formations where we can see many shore birds nesting and preparing to rest through the night as the sun sets on the horizon.
We will paddle at dusk, the magical time where colors are morphing, everything seems quieter, and the fading hues offer a unique peace of mind. We arrive to a secluded beach, relax on the white sand, and enjoy the stars as everything around you goes completely dark. Your guide will prepare a snack for you before it is time to return. We will paddle at night under a black sky filled with stars and the bluish light of the moon before bidding farewell to the ocean and boarding our transport back to your hotel. .The tour on the kayak is around 3.5 hours in the manglar.
